Invest your money where guests spend most of their time. As well as where your photographer and/or videographer will spend most of their time!

What to wear at your next event!

Hello Beautiful People!
Summer is here, which means wedding season is officially upon us! Many of you have likely received some invitations to upcoming nuptials, awesome graduation parties and birthday extravaganzas......and I bet you’re banging your head against the wall trying to figure out the dress code, right?

Usually, the dress code is noted on the invitation or wedding website. Here are the three most common terms and what they mean:
  • Black Tie – A formal affair! This means men should wear tuxedos and women should wear a formal gown of any length.
  • Black Tie Optional – Things are a bit more lax for you, but the wedding party will be in formal attire noted above. You’re free to wear a tuxedo or gown, but it’s optional. So for men, a tuxedo or dark suit is great while woman can wear dresses or formal evening pants.
  • Cocktail Attire – I know this one confuses most people! Suits or sports jackets are appropriate for men. Women can wear dresses, dressy pants or chic jumpsuits. No need for tuxes or formal gowns here.
A couple other things to keep in mind:
  • Men (and women!) – jeans are never acceptable at a wedding unless specifically indicated.
  • Ladies – stay away from white! Seriously! It’s crazy how much I still see this happen. White or cream accents are fine, but avoid anything fully white or even close to white.
  • Beach and casual backyard weddings tend to be a different situation. Hopefully, the wedding dress code has been communicated but typically guest attire is a little more relaxed, but still polished. Think linen pants or khakis (no shorts unless specifically indicated) and a button-down shirt for men and light, flowy dresses for women.
If you’re still stuck, feel free to check in with a member of the wedding party about the dress code. They’ll know the scoop and you won’t have to bug the bride or groom days before the event. Either way! I am sure you will look amazing! Happy Shopping!

Your Event "Children Policy"

6/9/2017

Don't feel perplexed and discourage, you have options when planning your next event as it pertains to inviting children. You can welcome children with open arms; you can opt immediate family only, your thoughts can be adults only or you can contract a child care provider in a specific room housed where your venue is located. This cost can be taken care of by the guests that desire the service or you can gift this service to your guest. If you decide to have child care available it's often times a great idea to have this option in small print on the Save the Date and/or a additional small card within the event invitation so your potential guest are aware. Lastly, make sure your venue manager understands and is on board with what your desires are at your event. Denise Willis @ Excellent Nanny Services, Inc will get you started!
